Reviews: Trading Knives and What Is Needed, by P.H. Solomon

I recently read two prequel short stories by P.H. Solomon, and since I haven’t posted in a while, I’m sharing both those reviews tonight.

Trading Knives: Prequel Short Story #1 to The Bow of Hart SagaTrading Knives: Prequel Short Story #1 to The Bow of Hart Saga by P.H. Solomon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I greatly enjoyed Trading Knives, a short story prequel to The Bow of Destiny. There are a few typos, but not enough to detract from the story. It’s fast-paced and well-written, revealing just enough to make me want to know more. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

What Is NeededWhat Is Needed by P.H. Solomon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found What is Needed to be a well-written and quite interesting short story. Although there are a few typos, they do not distract too much from the flow of the plot. I was especially fascinated by the Withlings and I look forward to reading more about their Order in The Bow of Destiny. I felt connected to the three main characters – hopefully they will make an appearance in future books of the Bow of Hart Saga. Although I did not find this story quite as intriguing as Trading Knives, it was quite interesting, and I look forward to continuing with this series.
